Terms of service
Effective date: 17 June 2026
These terms govern use of Ensan ID, operated by KNOWDYN LTD.
Service description
Ensan ID provides a stateless public digital identity passport and proof resolver for self-declared public identity, verified public bindings, and identity disambiguation.
The service helps holders publish selected public identity declarations and bind those declarations to public evidence such as GitHub, ORCID, DNS TXT records, and reciprocal profile links.
Not legal identity
Ensan ID does not provide legal identity verification, government identity verification, proof of personhood, background screening, sanctions screening, age verification, or global uniqueness.
A verified binding means a specific verification method passed at a specific time. It does not prove every claim made by a holder.
Holder responsibilities
You must publish resolvers only for accounts, domains, identifiers, credentials, and claims you are authorized to bind.
You must not use Ensan ID for impersonation, fraud, harassment, deceptive attribution, unauthorized access, credential theft, evasion, unlawful surveillance, or misleading verification.
You are responsible for protecting your `.ensan` capsule, passphrase, management token, and any recovery material.
Verifier responsibilities
Verifiers must interpret Ensan ID output according to its trust model. Verified bindings, self-declared claims, issuer-signed claims, disputes, revocations, and expiry states are different classes of information.
Verifiers must not treat Ensan ID as legal identity, government identity, or proof of personhood.
Public nature of resolvers
Published resolver data is public. It may be indexed, copied, cached, archived, transformed, or analyzed by third parties. Do not publish private data in a resolver.
Abuse and disputes
KNOWDYN LTD may investigate disputes, suspend resolvers, revoke bindings, mark records as disputed, remove content, rate-limit requests, or restrict access to protect the integrity of the service.
Disputes and abuse reports should be sent to ipcontrol@knowdyn.co.uk.
Availability and changes
Ensan ID may change, pause, restrict, or discontinue features as needed for security, compliance, operational resilience, or product improvement.
No warranty
The service is provided as digital identity infrastructure for public disambiguation. It is not guaranteed to prevent all impersonation, identity confusion, account compromise, indexing errors, or misuse by third parties.
Governing context
The operator is KNOWDYN LTD. Use of the service may involve legal and regulatory considerations in the United Kingdom, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and other jurisdictions depending on users, infrastructure, disputes, and published content.
